flytPi wired network connection

#1

Hi,

We’ve purchased the flytPi, and I’m trying to create a local connection between my mac and raspberryPi.

I plug in the ethernet cable but I don’t know the default flytPi IP so that I can set my mac with an IP in the same network.

I managed to connect to flytPi via SSH but the ethernet interface keeps shutting down - I plug the cable, light blink for a few seconds, then off, then back on, and so on. But they stay off for a good amount.

This is the ethernet interface I suspect, but it keeps hiding and showing - when lights go out, it doesn’t show up in ifconfig.

I’m powering the flytPi from a USB port from the mac. Could this be an issue?

Also when I connected a monitor via HDMI the device keeps restarting - again, maybe it doesn’t have enough power?

I got a raspberryPi wall adapter, and the network is consistently on now.

But flytConsole is not showing up now - using wifi + http://10.42.0.1/flytconsole/# URL.

The red light is always on, and green light is blinking is this how it’s supposed to be?

Thanks.
